Responsibilities
The Department of History at Florida State University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track teaching position in American History to begin in August 2026. The teaching load is 4-4-2. While the area of interest and specialization is open, the department is particularly interested in candidates prepared to teach the second half of the U.S. History survey and the second half of the World History survey. Application deadline: March 22, 2026.
Qualifications
Academic doctorate or highest level terminal degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties, with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching and success in the classroom.

This is a Faculty position. This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.
