We currently offer our services in the entire metro New York area (including the five boroughs of NYC, Hudson Valley and Long Island) and Albany, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, and the Virginia/ Maryland/ DC area. We specialize in conducting initial evaluations and providing ongoing services in home, community and clinic settings. Location
Part Time and Full Time caseloads available in our clinic located in Fairfax, VA

Job Responsibilities

Work involves developmental screening/assessment, occupational therapy services and consultation with family members and other professionals working with the family.

Educate family members and caregivers on different intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over at community settings.

Work is performed in clinic based settings.

Follow Individualized Service Plan, plan ongoing treatment, and interpret goals and treatment plan to parents and make recommendations for further developmental assessments as needed.

Prepare progress reports at six month intervals and annual reviews.

Maintain client records and submit them to agency within established deadlines.

Other duties assigned by immediate supervisor within scope of work.

Requirements

Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy

1-2 years of experience working in pediatrics is preferred but open to train new graduates. Must be able to work with some degree of independence within established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines.

Must possess Virginia state license to practice Occupational Therapy.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases including but not limited to driving personal vehicle, walking, and/or use of public transportation such as a bus or train.

The ability to climb and descend staircases.

The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.

The ability to sit on the floor, kneel, and/or crawl for extended periods.

Compensation depends on experience and will be discussed during the interview process.
