Serenity Hospice Care has locations all over NJ, in facilities and in their homes. Some locations are Tinton Falls, Brick, Freehold, Newark, Lakewood, Toms River, East Orange, Hammonton, Galloway and others!
We will work with you, we value your time and will work around your time schedule and location preferences. Are you a caring person that is willing to give some time to patients by having conversations, watching TV, reading, giving a gentle touch or sharing a peaceful moment? We need you!
The volunteer experience is just as rewarding for you as it is the patient!!! Bring a smile or a moment of peace to a patient in need!
Opportunities
If Direct Patient volunteering is not what you are interested in, then how about administrative assistance in our office? We are looking for people to help us with clerical duties such as filing, phones, mailers, promotional information and other very important tasks that contribute to our patients’ well-being!
Role Types
Administrative Volunteers
— Various office duties including filing, phone work, supply organization, etc. (Located at 1670 Whitehorse Hamilton Square Road, Hamilton, NJ 08690)
Direct Patient Volunteers
— Visit patients in facilities or homes. Offer companionship by listening, talking, reading or watching TV. Special talents such as pet therapy, music, art, knitting are greatly appreciated. We reimburse travel time.
Expectations & Training
We work around your schedule, time and location preferences. You do not need any experience; we will teach you everything you need to know. Volunteers give companionship, read, watch TV, talk, and listen; every contribution makes a difference. If you have special talents, they are welcome and appreciated.
