We are currently hiring a
Pharmacy Technician
to support our Farmers Branch, TX Pharmacy.
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required.
Summary
Perform clinical and professional pharmaceutical work in the compounding and dispensing of prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals for patient care.
Responsibilities
Prepares, fills and compounds medications using standard formulas and processes such as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients.
Maintains the pharmacy according to USP 797 standards. This includes maintenance, cleaning, testing, and re-certification of the prep room, ante room, and the clean room
Maintain and provide drug usage reports to our pharmaceutical partners as requested
Perform PMP reporting in compliance with state requirements
Plans and organizes activities in pharmacy services to ensure patient needs are met in accordance with Physician request, administrative procedures, and best practices
Maintains inventory levels of supplies needed by both pharmacy and nursing
Participate in state inspections and TJC accreditation process
Engages in continuing education activities and other CEU opportunities related to improving pharmacy services
Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by a pharmacist
Other Responsibilities
Participate in the quality assurance programs for patient care
Coordinate pharmacy services with nursing services in order to provide safe and appropriate patient care
Assists DOP to ensure that the pharmacy is in compliance with all State and Federal laws and regulations governing the practice of pharmacy

Education
High school graduate or an equivalent.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to perform pharmaceutical calculations as related to the job.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
All applicable software programs and systems utilized by the organization.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Licensed with the State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician.
