Job Responsibilities
WORK SUMMARY: As a clinical teacher, this position will provide undergraduate students on site instruction during clinical rotations. Helps students learn how to provide care for patients during on site clinical rotations. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Duties
70% Essential - Clinical Instruction
Delivers clinical care to patients while serving as a clinical preceptor to undergraduate students.
Demonstrates and assists students with unit tasks in practice and demonstrates clinical skills.
Provides leadership to enhance patient experience and patient safety.
15% Essential - Administrative
Provides feedback to faculty on students' performance during time in the clinical setting.
Evaluates students' clinical performance and sends recommendations on improvement.
15% Essential - Collaboration
Utilizes nursing practice to assign care for patients and families.
Reviews written requirements with students, providers, and patients' families.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor's degree.
Work Experience: At least 2 years experience in the specified clinical setting specialty (e.g., Med/Surg, Pediatrics, Mental Health, Critical Care, Community, Obstetrics, Leadership and Management).
Must have current RN licensure.
