Duties & Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the Interventional Radiology Tech is to provide assistance with patient care in the Interventional Radiology Department, offering technical support to the IR team.
Perform diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures in a clinical setting
Operate conventional, fluoroscopic, or radiology equipment to obtain images of designated body parts according to physician specifications and/or orders
Assist the physician with various diagnostic and interventional procedures, monitoring, passing instruments and catheters, observing patient response to procedure, maintaining sterile field, interpreting and evaluating diagnostic data for physician use
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local technical and professional regulations and accepted practice guidelines
Deliver quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner
Maintain an environment of excellence, patient-focused, providing timely, compassionate, quality patient care
Prepare and update patient records accurately and legibly
