Medical Receptionist - Full Time

Overview
Starting Hourly: $18.00 per hour
Two Trees Physical Therapy & Wellness, a member of Therapy Partners Group, has been the premier provider for outpatient orthopedics serving Ventura County and surrounding communities for 10 years. We are known for providing the highest quality individualized care for our patients and our team of highly skilled physical therapists who are passionate about helping patients achieve their goals.
Currently, we are looking for a full time Medical Receptionist for our Simi Valley location.
Bilingual in English & Spanish required
Responsibilities
Greets warmly and maintains a friendly, welcoming relationship with all patient care coordinators, and any external connections.
Clearly communicates with all staff, including clinical and corporate employees, in a friendly and courteous manner.
Answers phones and greets patients with professionalism; returns voicemails the same day; maintain a higher than 85% call answer rate.
Participates in and adheres to HIPAA Policies and Procedures of Therapy Partner Group as required.
Escalates patient issues and concerns to local Clinical leadership and Regional Front Office management as needed.
Schedules patient initial evaluations and follow-up visits through plan of care.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office; Raintree PMS experience is a plus.
Strong relationship-building and customer service skills.
Ability to maintain confidential documents.
Ability to demonstrate active listening by asking clarifying questions, identifying and sharing relevant information, and giving and receiving feedback objectively.
Strong team-player attributes.
Ability to multi-task responsibilities while maintaining a positive and friendly atmosphere with patients nearby.
Education & Experience
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent (Must be 18+).
Experience:
Practice Management System knowledge, patient scheduling capabilities, and insurance plan understanding.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
Requires prolonged sitting, some walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and stretching.
Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, mouse, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other equipment.
Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and present reports.
