About the Role
The Building Blocks (BB)/Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) is a grant‑funded program responsible for providing comprehensive home visits to eligible first‑time, economically disadvantaged mothers and their families. Nurses are responsible for maintaining the highest standards in clinical nursing practice and adherence to the NFP model, and to policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards of NFP and the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Mercy Southeast – Building Blocks, 650 S. MT Auburn, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701
Hours/Schedule
Full‑time (40 hrs per week), shift: days.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate from a professional nursing program.
Current RN license within state of practice.
Valid driver's license and unlimited access to a reliable automobile with appropriate insurance, as required by law. Class E chauffeur's license required if driving a hospital vehicle.
2 years of prior nursing experience.
Physical Requirements
Individuals must be able to push, pull, or lift 50 pounds regularly.
Individuals must be able to stand, walk, grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as required.
Shift requires prolonged standing and walking.
Preferred Qualifications
Either an AA or BSN prepared.
Two years' experience in maternal/child health, public health, home visiting or mental/behavioral nursing.
