Responsibilities
Perform programs on all identified residents, including but not limited to range of motion (passive/active), general strengthening exercises, ambulation and transfer training, ADLs, nursing whirlpools as assigned, placement of restorative devices and equipment, positioning, and restorative feeding program.
Document daily on treatment grid and weekly on progress notes.
Notify restorative nurse coordinator or the appropriate therapy department of problems, referrals, or reassessments needed.
Report to the Director of Nursing and chart significant changes in a resident’s condition or motivational level.
Reinforce team management of the B/B program and work with nurse aides on B/B procedures.
Attend meetings and in‑services as required.
Serve as a resident advocate at all times and motivate others.
Qualifications
Nursing Assistant Certification from the state where required.
Good communication skills with the ability to read and write in English.
Ability to document appropriately and perform technical procedures.
Genuine caring for and interest in resident.
A strong belief in the restorative nursing philosophy.
