$10,000.00 for RN’s with a minimum of 12 months Behavioral Health RN experience and a 1‑year commitment.

Position:

Part‑Time Night Geriatric Behavioral Health RN at Banner Del Webb Medical Center. The role involves caring for a wide range of mental health diagnoses that require an extra level of acute medical care. Nurses who enjoy working with adults will succeed. In urgent situations, Behavioral Health RNs may float to medical units to assist, not to take primary patient assignments.

Hours:

7:00 pm – 7:30 am for two shifts per week, including weekends and holidays on a rotating basis. Shift scheduling can be adjusted with the self‑scheduling tool, and a $3/hour weekend shift differential is offered.

Position Summary
This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards.

Core Functions

Assesses patients’ physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs; reviews history, diagnostics, laboratory data, and collaborates with the health care team.

Formulates a plan of care—including discharge planning—using assessment data and patient/family input; establishes realistic, measurable goals in partnership with the multidisciplinary team.

Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of the health care team; ensures compliance with policies, standards of care, and regulatory requirements.

Evaluates patient and family response to care and teaching; revises the plan of care as needed based on patient progress.

Documents assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record; maintains legible, timely documentation in accordance with policy.

Provides evidence‑based care and participates in research activities; engages in unit or facility shared leadership and orientation of staff, patients, families, and visitors.

Supports growth of others through precepting and mentoring; contributes to societal improvement through timely, effective, equitable, and safe care.

Supervises staff and workflow in some roles.

Interacts with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, families, and external contacts; works with clergy to provide spiritual support and synthesizes data for patient and family support.

Minimum Qualifications

Current, valid RN license in the state of practice (temporary/interim or compact consent acceptable).

BLS certification required; additional certifications or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.

Experience in the clinical area for which the RN is applying is desired; must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area in which they work.

Home Health settings require a valid driver’s license, active auto insurance, and state fingerprint clearance card at hire.

Behavioral Health clinical settings requiring Arizona clearance cards and criminal history affidavit at hire and maintenance throughout employment.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Professional certification preferred.
