Licensed Vocational Nurse (Part-time)
SIERRA VISTA HOSPITAL, Sacramento, CA, United States
Responsibilities
The LVN performs under the direction of a Registered Nurse in providing nursing care to assigned patients, utilizing basic understanding of psychiatric and personality disorders.
Shift Availability
AM shift: 07:00am - 3:30pm
PM shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm
NOC shift: 11:00pm - 7:30am
Qualifications
Education: Graduate from an accredited professional vocational school of nursing as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
Experience: Minimum 6 months as an LVN in psychiatric nursing preferred; willing to train new grads.
Licensure: Licensed to practice vocational nursing from the State Board of Nursing. Valid driver’s license preferred.
Additional Requirements: Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. CPR certification, and successful completion of the hospital’s designated behavioral and physical management training program, including de-escalation and appropriate use of seclusion and restraint required before assisting in procedures.
May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.
