Overview
Nightingale's List is seeking a travel Correctional Recreation/Recreational Therapist for a travel job in Crescent city, California. In this role, you’ll support the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of incarcerated individuals through structured therapeutic recreation programs in a secure environment.
Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and lead
therapeutic recreation programs
that address the emotional, social, and physical needs of inmates.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams to
develop and implement individualized treatment plans .
Conduct
assessments
to determine inmate interests, abilities, and therapeutic needs.
Facilitate
group and individual recreational therapy sessions
focused on coping skills, stress management, social interaction, and leisure education.
Document
all treatment sessions, assessments, and progress notes in accordance with facility and CDCR guidelines.
Participate in
Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (IDTT)
meetings and contribute to comprehensive inmate care planning.
Support inmate
transitions and pre-release preparation
by promoting healthy recreation and community reentry skills.
Maintain a
safe and secure environment , adhering to all California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) regulations, policies, and procedures.
