About the Role
As a key member of our education team, you will design, facilitate, and evaluate innovative simulation‑based training tailored to neonatal and perinatal healthcare providers. Your expertise will help prepare teams for critical situations in Level 3 and 4 NICU settings, ensuring they are equipped with the skills, confidence, and knowledge to deliver exceptional care. This role involves traveling between facilities, managing simulation resources, and working closely with multidisciplinary teams to create realistic, impactful learning experiences that translate into improved patient outcomes.
Position Highlights
Travel & Logistics:
Requires reliable transportation and the ability to lift equipment; mileage reimbursement provided.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, day shifts – no evenings or weekends.
Educational Leadership:
Lead and coordinate simulation programs, from scenario development to debriefing, for a diverse range of learners including faculty, residents, NNPs/PAs, and community providers.
Research & Innovation:
Support clinical research activities, including recruitment, consent, data collection, and analysis.
Equipment & Resources:
Maintain simulation mannequins, video systems, and expendable supplies to ensure top‑quality program delivery.
Curriculum Design:
Develop tailored learning objectives and scenarios based on learner levels and educational needs.
Continuous Improvement:
Evaluate program effectiveness, gather feedback, and implement improvements to enhance learning outcomes.
Qualifications
Requires discipline‑specific current registration/certification/licensure as mandated by program accreditation requirements and/or professional standards.
Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
Associate's Degree in Nursing required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
3–5 years of relevant experience.
NICU experience preferred.
Strong clinical expertise in neonatal resuscitation, stabilization, or critical care.
Experience in simulation education, curriculum development, or healthcare teaching preferred.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to lift equipment and reliable transportation to travel as needed.
