
Certified Medical Assistant Sr.- Willow Bend

Overview
Texas Oncology is looking for a Certified Medical Assistant to support the Texas Breast Specialists in the Willow Bend location. The position is full‑time and will include flying one day per week to the Frisco West office. Typical hours are Monday‑Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The role may qualify as Level 1, 2, or Sr depending on candidate experience.
Responsibilities
Escort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment rooms.
Record patient data prior to each physician visit, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.
Obtain necessary patient records as required by the physician before treatment or procedures.
Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies as needed.
Assist physicians with exams and procedures as requested.
Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections, as delegated by RN or physician.
Maintain all exam/treatment room disinfection protocols.
Answer patient telephone calls for referral to physician or nurse/pharmacist.
Phones in prescriptions and make other patient calls as directed by physicians and RN.
Inform physician of patient reschedules and no‑shows.
Perform other administrative duties such as typing, filing, faxing, chart preparation, reception, etc., as requested by supervisor or physician.
May enter orders under a provider’s direction and supervision.
Qualifications
Level 1
– High‑school graduate or equivalent; certificate of graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred; 0‑3 years of experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant; current BCLS certification required within three months of hire; Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
Level 2
– Minimum three years of experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant; phlebotomy experience preferred; Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
Level Sr
– Minimum five years of experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant in a hospital or clinic setting; current CPR certification required.
Current BCLS certification required for all levels.
