Overview
Washington Middle School is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to serve as
Head 8th Grade Volleyball Coach
for the
2026-2027
school year.
This position is responsible for leading and developing a successful volleyball program while providing mentorship and guidance to student-athletes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong knowledge of volleyball, a genuine commitment to student development, and the ability to foster a positive, safe, and inclusive team environment.
The Head Coach will promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth, while serving as a positive role model for all participants. Responsibilities include organizing practices, overseeing athlete development, coordinating competitions, and supporting the overall mission of the school's athletic program.
Responsibilities
Organize practices and training plans for the 8th grade volleyball team
Oversee athlete development and ensure safe, inclusive participation
Coordinate competitions and tournament schedules
Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth among student-athletes
Support the overall mission of the school's athletic program
Qualifications
Knowledge and experience in volleyball
Strong leadership and communication skills
Commitment to student-athlete development and well-being
Ability to promote a positive and inclusive team culture
