The Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse (DPC RN) is a licensed professional who demonstrates proficiency in core competencies including assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership and service. The DPC RN delivers patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner utilizing and promoting evidence-based practice standards of quality, safety and service. Pay is $40.03/hr - $50.14/hr based on experience.
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care as a licensed Registered Nurse, delivering patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner.
Demonstrate proficiency in assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, and ongoing patient education in alignment with evidence-based practice standards of quality, safety and service.
Collaborate with the care team to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.
Demonstrate professional accountability and leadership within the department.
Qualifications
Degrees:
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
Licenses & Certifications:
Pediatric Advanced Life Support; ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate; Neonatal Resuscitation Program; Basic Life Support; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support; Registered Nurse license.
Additional Qualifications:
Associate degree in Nursing or Bachelor's degree in Nursing; RNs hired prior to specified dates may continue in their non-leadership RN role without a BSN under certain conditions; RNs hired after specified dates with an Associate’s degree have 3 years to complete a BSN; preceptor class within twelve months of being deemed competent for independent practice; may require ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, or ONS-Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card as per department standards.
Minimum Required Experience:
1 year acute Emergency Room experience. BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
