
Senior Lab Technician - Fire Assayer

FLSmidth Inc. is seeking a skilled Lab Technician - Fire Assayer to perform accurate and efficient fire assay analyses on various ore and metallurgical samples in a laboratory setting, ensuring high-quality results for process control and exploration.
Your Responsibilities
Prepare samples for fire assay analysis, including crushing, pulverizing, and weighing.
Perform fire assay fusions and cupellation according to established procedures.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including furnaces, balances, and atomic absorption spectrometers.
Record and interpret analytical data, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality control standards.
Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments.
Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
What You Bring
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or higher in Chemistry, Metallurgy, or a related scientific field preferred.
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a Lab Technician, with specific experience in fire assay techniques.
Proven ability to perform precise measurements and follow detailed procedures.
Familiarity with laboratory safety practices and chemical handling.
Experience with atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
