Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Uptown
is currently seeking a full-time Dietary Aide. The ideal candidate is trained in food preparation and production, prepares food for patients, employees, visitors and catered functions, and will follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Responsibilities
The Dietary Aide prepares meals and ensures timely service for patients, staff, and visitors according to established menus and dietary requirements. Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and related areas, supports catering functions, and adheres to food safety guidelines.
Qualifications
Minimum: Reading, basic math, written language in English
High School education (diploma) or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a high-volume restaurant, hospital or institution
Meet all city, county, state and federal certification standards
Ability to meet time standards required by production schedule
Basic knowledge of food preparation from scratch
Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
Good communication and organizational skills
Ability to exercise independent judgment
Demonstrate initiative in assuming responsibilities
Must be cooperative, discreet, and courteous in handling visitors and employees
