Pharmacy Technician II

Position Summary
The Pharmacy Technician II assists a registered pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense medical prescriptions. The Pharmacy Technician I is expected to collect and input prescriptions (new and refill) and patient information. Must be able to multi‑task and perform repetitive tasks accurately. The Pharmacy Technician II also supports other pharmacy technicians by filling in when needed, providing hands‑on training and mentoring in areas where highly proficient. This individual needs to be able to identify and provide recommendations to process flow improvement, deficiencies, etc.

Required Licensure and Certification
License/Certification/Registration required: Yes. Active technician registration with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy or active registration as a pharmacy intern in the state of MN with active enrollment in an accredited college of pharmacy is required. For newly registered technicians/registered interns without Tech 240 certification, 240 hours of theoretical and practical training on‑site must be completed within twelve months of hire.

High school graduate or equivalent, required

Minimum of 6 months experience as a pharmacy technician, required

Salary and Benefits
The posted salary represents a market‑competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. Annual salaries displayed are based on full‑time employment (40 standard hrs per week). Annual salaries for part‑time positions will be prorated based on the employee’s scheduled weekly hours in relation to the full‑time standard. When determining individual pay rates, we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, internal equity and organizational needs.

In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night, weekend or on‑call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.

All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of an occupational health assessment, drug screen, background investigation, and compliance with the U.S. Government Form I‑9, Employment Eligibility Verification.
