Responsibilities
X‑ray Technician Duties

Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, escort them to dressing and x‑ray rooms, provide instructions and assist with positioning.

Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images, setting exposure time and distance according to examination specifications.

Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to safeguard patients and staff.

Maintain radiologic equipment, report malfunctions, and perform routine QA/QC checks.

Follow all radiology workflows and documentation procedures, ensuring reports are correctly transferred to the EMR.

Keep equipment calibrated and record‑keeping in accordance with current policies.

Medical Support Specialist Duties

Perform DOT and non‑DOT drug and alcohol testing.

Conduct physical examinations, including vital signs and ancillary testing such as vaccines, phlebotomy, PFTs, audiogram and respirator fit testing.

Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.).

Assist providers during examinations and treatments.

Execute routine medical procedures ordered by the treating clinician and triage emergent patients as needed.

Set up and maintain procedure sets, provide injury care, apply bandages, dressings, and splints.

Dispense medications and durable medical equipment in accordance with state regulations.

Complete quality assurance activities on equipment and medical devices.

Maintain supplies, clean rooms, and keep exam rooms stocked.

Notify supervisor immediately if equipment fails, supplies run low, or the facility is not operating as expected.

Assist with patient flow and volume in partnership with center leadership.

Provide front‑office clerical tasks: greet patients, obtain authorizations, check‑in/out, communicate wait times, manage multi‑line telephone system, distribute employer results and paperwork.

Follow HIPAA guidelines and safety rules.

Attend staff meetings and huddles as required.

Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly appearance throughout the facility.

Participate in ongoing training, including clinical competency training that occurs monthly.

Job‑Related Qualifications

High school graduate or GED equivalent.

Completion of a state‑approved Limited Scope Technician certificate program and state license, if applicable.

CPR/First Aid certification.

At least six months of medical assistant experience and six months of X‑ray experience, with familiarity in routine medical procedures.

Prior experience in medical office, healthcare, or customer service is preferred.

Knowledge of occupational medicine requirements (state specific).

Certifications required for Medical Support Specialists, including drug screen collection, breath alcohol certification, and hair/oral fluids collection.

Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).
