Position Summary
Coastal Radiology, a Radiology Partners affiliate, is seeking a Breast Imaging Radiologist to join our team in New Bern, North Carolina. This partnership‑track position offers up to 100% concentration in Breast Imaging. Candidates who wish to maintain proficiency in general diagnostic skills may participate in general diagnostic shifts and emergency call if desired. We are recruiting for a full‑time radiologist but will also customize a role for physicians interested in part‑time work. The practice includes screening mammography, diagnostic mammography, ultrasound, breast MRI, and a full range of breast interventions.
Responsibilities
9‑hour shifts between 8 AM‑5 PM, Monday through Friday.
Potential for full‑time Breast Imaging with mixed on‑site and off‑site hours.
Excellent compensation and benefits package.
10 weeks paid time off (PTO) with increase after partnership.
MQSA‑qualified imaging center.
Excellent communication skills required.
1‑year partnership‑track opportunity.
Desired Professional Skills And Experience
Medical or Osteopathic degree, board‑certified in Diagnostic Radiology.
Board‑certified or board‑eligible by the American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology.
Completed one year of post‑residency fellowship training in Breast Imaging preferred (but not required).
Licensed or able to obtain a North Carolina license.
J‑1 visa candidates will be considered.
MQSA certification required.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $450,000‑$600,000, with final determination based on education, experience, and qualifications. The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Benefits include medical, malpractice, retirement contributions, and 10 weeks PTO (increasing to 12 weeks as a partner). The position offers a commencement bonus and relocation assistance.

Coastal Radiology serves 2 regional medical centers and 5 imaging centers in a small Inner Banks town located 40 miles north of Emerald Isle. New Bern offers a mild four‑season climate, excellent schools, cultural and recreational activities, and easy access to the Raleigh‑Durham‑Chapel Hill metro area and the NC Crystal Coast beaches.
