The RN provides comprehensive perioperative care to patients undergoing same-day surgical procedures, covering preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases. Key responsibilities include patient assessment, preparing patients for surgery, assisting in the operating room (circulating/scrubbing), monitoring recovery, and educating families on discharge instructions.
Education: BS in nursing
Licensure: Active RN license in PA
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS preferred
Experience: 1-3 years of nursing preferably in operating, PACU, critical care environments
