Job Description
A Nursing Assistant provides essential patient care services, including personal hygiene assistance, specimen collection, and support with daily walking and exercise. They also transport patients between departments and monitor vital signs.
Responsibilities
Perform basic patient care needs and services essential to caring for patients' personal and comfort needs.
Complete personal hygiene.
Collect specimens.
Assist patients with daily walking and exercise.
Transport patients between departments.
Observe, report, and record vital signs of the patient.
Qualifications
Obtain/Maintain CPR certification in adult maneuvers (child and infant may be required by some departments) at all times.
May be required to lift more than 35 pounds.
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
