Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site Interpreter role for Vietnamese or Tagalog languages, based in Chicago, IL. The Interpreter will provide accurate and impartial interpretation services between the target language(s) and English in a variety of professional settings. Responsibilities include interpreting in real‑time during conversations or meetings, facilitating effective communication, and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information. The Interpreter will ensure cultural nuances are respected and appropriately addressed during interactions.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Vietnamese or Tagalog, including speaking, reading, and writing skills
Fluency in English and strong ability to interpret in both consecutive and simultaneous modes
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate effective cross‑cultural understanding
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics
Prior experience as an interpreter or relevant certification is highly desirable
Attention to detail, strong listening skills, and cultural sensitivity
Availability to work on‑site in Chicago, IL
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in language services is a plus
