Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site role based in San Francisco, CA, for a Public Safety Bike/Vehicle Patrol Officer. The role involves patrolling designated areas on bike or vehicle to maintain a safe environment, monitoring activities and securing client properties, and responding to emergencies swiftly and effectively. Officers are expected to engage with the public and clients in a professional manner, provide assistance when needed, and enforce safety protocols as required.
Qualifications
Experience in Physical Security and familiarity with security protocols
Background in Law Enforcement or Emergency Services is highly desirable
Strong Customer Service and Communication skills, with an emphasis on professionalism and courtesy
Ability to respond to emergencies quickly and efficiently
Physical fitness and ability to perform bike or vehicle patrols
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in security or law enforcement are a plus
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
Ability to pass background checks and meet state licensing requirements
What You’ll Do
Patrol public areas by vehicle, foot, and bicycle, staying alert and ready to respond
Deter crime with a consistent, visible presence
Observe and report suspicious activity using proper protocols
De‑escalate incidents with professionalism, confidence, and sound judgment
Communicate clearly with law enforcement and community members when needed
Keep detailed logs and write thorough incident reports
Maintain safety, follow company protocols, and uphold ASPIS’s high standards
What You Bring
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year of security, law enforcement, or military experience required
Valid CA BSIS Guard Card and Baton Permit (required)
Valid Driver’s License
Comfortable and able to patrol on a bicycle
Strong observation and communication skills
Good judgment, self‑discipline, and professionalism
Ability to remain calm, assertive, and effective in high‑pressure or unpredictable situations
Physically capable of performing patrol duties and maintaining an active presence throughout your shift
Familiarity with public safety protocols and local laws
First Aid or self‑defense training is a plus
