Russian Interpreter (Modesto)

Job Description
This is an independent contract self‑employment position with a flexible work schedule. The interpreter will provide interpreting services primarily in the healthcare setting. The job site is Modesto. The number of assignments will depend on the volume of requests for specific languages and the interpreter’s qualifications.
Qualifications
Fluency in both Russian and English
Demonstrated experience providing accurate, complete, and clear interpretation in medical, legal, and community settings, with the highest level of fidelity to the original communication
Strong ability to interpret orally between Russian and English in both directions
Proven ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
Skilled in meeting the communication needs of medical professionals, patients, government agencies, community organizations, and internal stakeholders
Combination of formal interpreter training and/or relevant professional experience
Must be based in the Modesto area
Willingness to obtain required medical clearances, including vaccination/immunization records and background checks, as necessary
Possession of a valid California license
