You will be involved in inpatient and outpatient care, working in the central pharmacy or satellite locations. The pharmacy uses an integrated practice model with unit-based positions and offers a drug information center and online resources.

Role Purpose
This Pharmacy Technician – Inpatient 2 works under the direct supervision of a staff pharmacist and follows standard procedures. Responsibilities include preparing medication orders, assisting with dispensing and transporting medications, conducting sterile and/or non-sterile compounding, using automated and electronic systems, and maintaining required documentation and records.

Responsibilities

Maintain quality assurance standards and required documentation; uphold regulatory cleanliness compliance.

Assist in medication order preparation, workflow management, basic dispensing, and non-sterile compounding.

Use automated and electronic systems to manage product preparation, inventory, patient records, and regulatory compliance.

Support inventory activities, including storage, ordering, rotation, beyond-use dating, and cleanliness.

Pursue proficiency in sterile compounding preparations and other advanced skills.

Minimum Requirements
Education

High School Diploma or GED

Experience

Licenses & Certifications

State Board Pharmacy Registration

Pharmacy Technician Certification

Preferred Requirements

2–5 years of experience
