The facility is Joint Commission accredited and cares for over 5,500 cases annually. AmSurg is an ambulatory surgery facility where modern medical advances allow an adult or child to have non-emergency surgery and return home the same day.
Case Assignments
Diverse mix including endoscopy, eyes, orthopedics, ENT, general, and vascular
Shifts
Monday – Friday
7:00 am – 3:00 pm
No call, no weekends
Team Leadership
Dr. Genevieve Obrochta, Chief of Anesthesia
Responsibilities
Pre‑anesthesia assessment
Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
Discusses anesthetic options and risks with the patient
Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
Performance of clinical intervention as needed
Requirements
Current license as a registered professional nurse
Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
Location
Joliet, IL – a family‑friendly community about 40 miles southwest of Chicago, with many attractions such as professional baseball, golfing, racing, art, hiking, and biking trails. Nearby colleges include the University of St. Francis and Lewis University.
Total Rewards
Salary: $235k – $255k (based on years of experience)
