Assignment Overview
Start Date: May 11, 2026
Duration: 12 weeks
Hours: 40 hrs/wk (4x10 hour days)
Shift: Day shifts (7:00–17:30 for 6 weeks, followed by 1 week of 5x8‑hour shifts, then back to 4x10‑hour shifts).
On‑call: 12–14 days per 6‑week period, including 1–2 weekends per 6 weeks; must remain within 30 minutes of facility while on call.
Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed.
Key Responsibilities / Procedures
Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures: left/right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, cardiac stent placement, rotablader atherectomy, temporary pacemaker insertion, EP studies, AICD insertion/programming, pacemaker insertion, peripheral and vascular interventions, renal artery and ureteral stent placement, carotid stenting, TIPS, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, dialysis graft creation/revision, central venous access/port placement, neurological stent placement and thrombolysis.
Proficiency in venous access, port access, PICC line care and maintenance, and central venous line care and maintenance.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience.
Community hospital experience required; teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred.
Active GA or Compact state license required (if applicable).
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT (R preferred), CCI RCES (preferred), CCI RCIS (preferred); CVT also accepted (preferred).
Two supervisory references at manager level or above (charge nurse references not accepted).
Experience with the listed procedures (as above) and with EP studies.

First‑time travelers welcome; local candidates accepted.
RTO is capped at 7 days for the assignment; RTO cannot be requested during the first week.
Holiday coverage policy: if 1–2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler must work all of them and no holiday RTO can be requested; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler must work 2 of them and one holiday RTO may be reviewed for approval.
Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day.
Candidates who have previously worked at this health system must have been away for a full year from all system facilities before returning as a traveler.
No alternate shifts or schedule change requests are permitted — the posted schedule is firm.
Candidates undergo a clinical review process before being presented to the hiring manager.
