Positions and Shifts
Part‑time PCNAs work 24 hours weekly, including rotating weekend and holiday requirements.
Full‑time PCNAs work 36 hours weekly, including rotating weekend and holiday requirements.
Available shifts:
Days – 6:30 am – 7:00 pm
Nights – 6:30 pm – 7:30 am
Units
PCNA – All Units: Oncology & Women’s Health, Med/Surg + Telemetry, Emergency Department, Progressive Coronary Care, Cardiac ICU, Neurology/Stroke, Post‑op, and more.
Orientation
Must be able to accommodate a two‑week mandatory orientation during your first two weeks of employment.
Responsibilities
Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN (vital signs, weight, personal care, activities of daily living, transfers/transport, pulse oximetry, point‑of‑care testing, dressing changes, applying external monitoring devices, and removal of urinary Foley catheter).
Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to an RN.
Assist with keeping patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). If you do not hold this certification, you must obtain it during your new hire period.
State‑tested Nursing Assistant (STNA).
Nursing students: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
Military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered.
Physical Requirements
Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good eye‑hand coordination; involves extensive standing and walking.
Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Personal Protective Equipment
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $18.25
Maximum hourly: $24.95
