(3rd Shift) MIG Welder- Manufacturing

Position Overview
Welder position at Lennox AES in Tallassee, AL (3rd shift). Hours: Monday – Thursday 8 PM–6:30 AM.

Duties

Fabricate custom and standard products from blueprints with high attention to detail and efficiency.

Communicate with shop manager and engineering on product issues and assist with streamlining methods for production.

MIG weld 10‑to‑20‑gauge galvanized steel for adapters, curbs, and other products.

Conduct visual inspections of welded components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

Work closely with engineers, fabricators, and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and successful project completion.

Under direct supervision, spot weld metal components.

Requirements

Familiar with safe welding practices.

Ability to learn to read fabrication drawings with some instruction.

Experience welding 10‑to‑20‑gauge galvanized steel (can be taught).

Physically capable of loading fabrication parts onto the weld table.

Strong attention to detail and quality orientation.

Self‑starter with minimal guidance on daily tasks.

Working knowledge of MIG welding machines, preventive maintenance, and control settings.

Able to move objects weighing up to 75 pounds.

Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.

Trade school or certification in welding preferred.

At least 1 year of MIG welding experience required.

Positive attitude and ability to work in a team setting.

Basic understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.

Compensation
This hourly non‑exempt role starts at $19.50/hour with a shift differential of $2.00/hour. Overtime is paid for hours worked beyond 40 per week, as required by state law.
