Job Description Summary
$25,000 sign‑on bonus for external applicants and newly licensed internal applicants with a one‑year work commitment.
Previously employed applicants who have been gone from the organization more than 90 days may also be eligible.
The Neuro Interventional Radiologic Technologist assists the Neuro Interventional Radiologist during diagnostic and interventional procedures. The technologist must be proficient with X‑ray equipment, hemodynamic monitoring, cerebral angiogram coiling, arteriovenous malformations, stroke interventions, and sterile technique.
Location: Riverside Methodist Hospital – Neuro Interventional Radiology.
Hours: 8:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m., 40 hours per week. Call includes one night per week and every fourth weekend with a 30‑minute response time.
Responsibilities and Duties
Assisting the Interventionalist during diagnostic and interventional procedures (85% of time).
Greeting patients upon arrival, checking charts for required data such as informed consent, reporting absences or abnormalities to RN/physician, explaining procedures, giving instructions, answering patient questions, and participating in room turnover and transporting patients (10% of time).
Assisting the Radiation Safety officer in QA of laboratories and radiation protective apparel, performing tasks using radiation safety principles, checking lead aprons for tears, reporting findings, removing inadequate gear, and maintaining accurate records or working with the Radiology department to maintain records (5% of time).
As a high‑reliability organization (HRO), responsibilities focus on safety, quality and efficiency. The job profile is not exhaustive and may change.
Minimum Qualifications
ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support (American Heart Association certified).
ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
BLS – Basic Life Support (American Heart Association certified).
Licensed in the state of Ohio (LIC).
