Overview
Performs routine and advanced cardiac ultrasound procedures for cardiovascular practices.
Responsibilities
Operates ultrasound equipment to obtain diagnostic images, identifies abnormalities, and ensures optimal quality.
Explains procedures, reviews data, performs exams, and records findings for physician review.
Stays current with education, technical journals, and maintains certification (RDCS, RCS).
Assists with scheduling, ensures patient comfort and safety.
Creates accurate ultrasound reports in the EMR and supports patient flow.
Maintains a clean work area, ensures equipment is operational, and restocks supplies.
Coordinates with engineers and provides training as needed.
Assists with staffing and other duties to support patient care and goals.
Qualifications
Completion of accredited ultrasound or related program.
ARDMS or CCI registry in Cardiac Ultrasound (eligibility considered).
BLS certification required.
Strong communication skills.
Compensation
Pay starting at $34.37.
