Description
Coach (Southern Nye Schools) located in Pahrump, Amargosa Valley, Beatty. Funding Source: General Fund. Stipend Position: Based on Sport & Location.
Job Goal
To provide each enrolled secondary school age student an opportunity to participate in an extra‑curricular athletic activity that will foster physical skills, a sense of worth and competence, and the principles of fair play.
Qualifications
Head Varsity Coach: Previous coaching experience required; in the same sport preferred; Varsity coach experience preferred.
Head Coach: Previous coaching experience required; in the same sport preferred.
Assistant Varsity Coach: Previous coaching experience required; in the same sport preferred.
Assistant Coach: Previous coaching experience preferred; in the same sport preferred.
Must have demonstrated knowledge of the program.
Must be willing to work long hours and on weekends.
Must be willing to work in a high‑pressure environment.
Must complete NIAA and NCSD mandatory online training.
Must have current CPR/First Aid/AED training and certification.
Must work well with Administration, coaches, parents, staff, and community.
Must pass a reference check, mandatory fingerprint background check, and drug and alcohol testing.
Working Conditions
Office or suitable workspace with desk, telephone, computer, and supplies necessary to carry out functions of position description.
