
Regional Security Intern

Overview
Regional Security Intern at DP World – Charlotte, NC (hybrid). 10-week program running from June 1 to August 7, 2026. Strong performance could lead to a full-time position after graduation.
Responsibilities
Partner with the Regional Security Director to define and implement regional key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics
Support the development and enhancement of a regional security dashboard in collaboration with cross-functional teams
Audit and assist in updating security profiles across multiple Business Units to ensure accuracy and compliance
Collaborate on the development of regional technical security standards and standardization initiatives
Contribute to the planning and phased development of a Regional Security Operations Center (RSOC)
Develop and maintain regional security reporting tools, including presentations and tracking systems
Create a “Regional Security 101” presentation to support internal and external stakeholders
Build and maintain tracking systems (e.g., spreadsheets) to monitor security assets such as cameras, guard forces, and related metrics across Business Units
Provide coordination and administrative support for regional security events, including note-taking and tracking action items
Support ongoing regional security projects and initiatives as needed
Gain exposure to enterprise security operations and cross-functional collaboration within a global organization
Qualifications, Experience And Skills
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, with preference for rising seniors
Minimum GPA of 3.0 required
Preferred fields of study include Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business, Data Analytics, or related disciplines
Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with data, metrics, and reporting tools
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Experience creating presentations and working with data sets for reporting purposes
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated
Interest in corporate, physical, or technical security is preferred
