Responsibilities
The Clinical Program Supervisors on the Adult and the Child and Adolescent (CAP) inpatient units have accountability for the Behavioral Health Therapy team and the Occupational Therapy/Recreation Therapy teams under the direction of their respective Nurse Manager. This position is accountable for unit programming, including involvement of other unit staff in the delivery of unit programming, with the support of the Nurse Manager.

This position also oversees and supports the RN Case Manager for the unit. The Clinical Program Supervisor also utilizes advanced clinical expertise and evidence-based approaches to provide clinical leadership to the entire interdisciplinary team on their respective unit. This includes management of the clinically focused mental health aspects of staff education and new employee orientation. It also includes development and maintenance of clinical programming, including group therapy and patient educational programs, and clinical coaching of the staff providing these services.

The Clinical Program Supervisor assists the Nurse Manager in maintaining regulatory compliance through policy review, revision, and development. The Clinical Program Supervisor provides systems leadership throughout the hospital related to mental health focused treatment. This position also provides and arranges clinical supervision for in‑training therapists. This position fulfills the state regulation of a minimum of one Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) on an inpatient psychiatric unit.

Qualifications
Required:

Master of Science Degree in Social Work

3 – 5 years of clinical experience providing treatment to individuals with mental illness

LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong conflict resolution and problem solving skills

Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position

May consider:

Preferred:

3 or more years of experience working with the designated population (Adult or Child/Adolescent)

Proven leadership skills while working with a team
