Job Summary
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) serves as a caregiver to patients during scheduled work periods. The PCT provides patient‑centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). This role is essential in creating a warm, healing environment for patients at Wheaton Medical Center.
Responsibilities
Assisting with daily living activities
Monitoring and reporting changes in patient conditions
Ensuring patient safety and well‑being
Support nursing staff with patient care tasks

Qualifications
High school graduate or GED (preferred)
Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical equipment (preferred)
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred; must maintain required competencies and certifications
For North Dakota employees, must be enrolled in the ND Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry within four months of employment if not certified CNA
