Responsibilities
Provide technical and other supporting assistance in the laboratories as assigned.
Work in cytogenetics, genetics or infectious disease (ID) settings as applicable.
Perform clinical laboratory testing, including manual and automated methods, in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures.
Responsible for pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases of testing.
Ensure all medical laboratory safety standards and quality requirements are met.
Serve as a laboratory resource to other health care personnel.
Must utilize critical and independent judgement in decision-making and problem-solving.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in biology or other related field that includes 30 combined semester hours of biological science and chemistry required.
Demonstrated lab experience, including but not limited to college laboratory experience preferred.
