What You Will Do
The Clinical Nurse (RN) provides hands-on care to patients within the Scope of Practice and hospital policies, performing the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation; coordinating care with other providers; and teaching patients and families for self-management.
Establishes therapeutic relationships and creates a healing environment, supporting patient and family comfort and education.
Obtains accurate assessment data, interprets findings, and determines nursing diagnoses; monitors patient data and stability.
Collaborates with patient, family, and health care team to develop and implement an individualized plan of care; administers nursing and medical interventions safely and evaluates effectiveness and adverse effects.
Assesses learning needs, teaches information for self-care and prevention, and adapts education to patient/family readiness, developmental level, and cultural context; mentors other staff as appropriate.
Demonstrates ability to manage rapidly changing situations and initiate emergency protocols as needed.
Monitors quality of care and safety, seeking opportunities for continual improvement in patient care and work environment.
Prioritizes workload, delegates tasks appropriately, and participates in unit programs and meetings to support team morale and effective collaboration.
Utilizes technology for communication, documentation, and information retrieval related to unusual clinical situations, diagnoses, and treatments.
Contributes to the knowledge and skill of nursing staff through teaching, shared governance, and professional activities.
Education Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Able to communicate effectively in English.
Licenses and Certifications
Current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS).
CA-RN (Registered Nurse).
Physical Demands and Work Conditions
Frequent exertion including lifting of patients and equipment, bending, stooping, and walking. Potential exposure to risks or discomforts requiring safety precautions; may involve working with contagious disease, radiation, or distressed patients. Protective clothing or equipment may be required.
Blood Borne Pathogens
Category I – Tasks involving exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues.

Compensation
Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $96.35 - $111.14 per hour. Final salary will be set based on factors including internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
