The Bilingual Nurse plays a critical role in facilitating clinical research projects, collaborating with various stakeholders, and ensuring high standards of patient care and data integrity.
General Description of Work

The Bilingual Nurse is responsible for coordinating and implementing clinical research studies, ensuring adherence to protocols, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards. This role involves direct interaction with patients, healthcare providers, and the research team to manage study logistics and data collection processes. The Bilingual Nurse will work closely with the Directors, Principal Investigators, and study coordinators to achieve project objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Clinical Coordination
Coordinate clinical aspects of research studies, including patient recruitment, consent, and follow-up.
Administer treatments and collect samples as per study protocols.
Monitor patient safety and report adverse events to the research team and regulatory bodies.
Serve as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and research staff.
Data Collection and Management
Ensure accurate and timely data collection and documentation.
Maintain appropriate records of patient interactions and study outcomes.
Collaborate with data management teams to review and analyze study data.
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure study activities comply with Institutional Review Board (IRB) requirements and ethical standards.
Prepare and submit regulatory documents and progress reports if required.
Monitor adherence to study protocols and provide training to research staff as needed.
Collaboration and Communication
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, researchers, and external partners.
Provide clear and timely communication regarding study progress and findings.
Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to project planning and decision-making.
Education and Mentorship
Educate patients and families about study protocols and procedures.
Mentor junior nursing staff and students involved in research projects.
Knowledge/Skills

Comprehensive knowledge of clinical research methods and patient care protocols.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in electronic health records and research data management systems.
Familiarity with IRB processes and regulatory requirements.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) with active RN license.
Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a research setting.
Experience in patient care and clinical data collection.
Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Nursing or a related field.
Certification in Clinical Research Nursing (CCRN) or similar.
Experience with community-based or primary care research.
Previous experience with peer-reviewed publications and research presentations.
Working Conditions/Physical Effort

Job location: Remote with occasional on-site visits.
Possible travel: Up to 10 days annually.
Responsibilities may require working evenings and weekends as needed.
