Role Overview
The company is looking for a full‑time CAD Drafter to join the team. The ideal candidate is fluent in AutoCAD and can produce drawings under tight time constraints. They will prepare drawings derived from various specifications, layouts, blueprints, and sketches, using computer‑aided drafting software and other techniques, standards, and tools. The drafter must coordinate and consult with engineers or designers to complete projects, following written directions for house placement, dimensioning, and labeling using architecture files, restrictions, and plat designs. Reliability, hard work, and a self‑starter attitude with a desire for challenge are required. The position is based in our growing San Antonio office with opportunities for development and growth.
Requirements
Associate’s degree or Technical College training certificate in CAD, or at least 2 years proven CAD Designer experience.
Previous structural design experience a plus, such as architecture and construction.
Previous construction surveying drafting experience is strongly preferred.
Proficient in AutoCAD.
Strong writing and grammar skills.
Strong organization and time‑management skills, including the ability to multi‑task and run multiple projects concurrently.
Willingness to work overtime.
Leadership skills and a team‑work attitude.
Relevant and professional manner, punctuality and politeness required.
Detail oriented.
