Veterinary Technician

Thrive Pet Healthcare offers comprehensive veterinary care for pets’ primary, specialty, and acute needs. As a Veterinary Technician, you will work closely with veterinarians to deliver high‑quality patient care and client education, assisting with exam prep, surgical procedures, venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, and maintaining accurate medical records.

Our Ideal Candidate
An upbeat, self‑starter with a passion for providing excellent patient care and client education. You will help create a welcoming environment for both clients and pets, from obtaining accurate histories through to educating clients on treatment plans.

Position requires 30‑40 hours per week, including occasional weekends and holidays.

Job Duties

Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care and client education.

Assist in maximizing productivity and maintaining positive patient flow across all hospital functions.

Perform venipuncture and catheter placement.

Assist with surgeries and procedures, including anesthesia preparation, monitoring, and recovery.

Maintain comprehensive medical records using practice systems.

Mentor and support fellow team members.

Job Requirements

Veterinary Technician licensure preferred but not required.

1‑2 years of clinical veterinary experience strongly preferred.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, squat, reach, stand, and walk throughout the day.

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with a starting rate of $21/hr. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
