Role Summary
Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) - Gen/Vascular performs high-frequency ultrasound imaging to assist in diagnostic evaluation. Responsible for patient preparation, performing scans, analyzing images, and collaborating with the healthcare team.

Required Qualifications

Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program

Minimum of one year of recent experience as an Ultrasound Technologist

Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Valid Ultrasound license in compliance with state regulations

Preferred Qualifications

Current Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification (ARDMS)

Current ARRT certification in sonography

Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position

Essential Work Functions

Demonstrate understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to integrate diagnostic imaging into patient care

Prepare and position patient to ensure accurate imaging and patient safety

Perform clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations of general and vascular studies

Evaluate images for clarity and accuracy

Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment to ensure safety and functionality

Apply technical expertise and critical thinking to perform procedures effectively

Work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining professionalism

Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with legal standards

Required Essential Skills

Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication

English language proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; PC skills

Physical: ability to remain stationary, move equipment, push/pull, and bend

Interpersonal: ability to work with diverse personnel and maintain professionalism

Technical/Motor: ability to manipulate and operate department equipment

Mental: ability to manage deadlines under pressure and work with or without supervision as needed

Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication
