Role Description

This full‑time, on‑site Child Life Specialist role is based in Lubbock, TX. The Child Life Specialist will provide emotional, social, and developmental support to pediatric patients and their families during hospital visits or stays. Responsibilities include creating therapeutic activities, helping children and families understand medical procedures, and assisting in coping with the stress and anxiety related to illness and hospitalization. The role also involves collaboration with healthcare professionals to ensure a positive and supportive patient experience.
Qualifications

Strong skills in coping strategies and providing emotional support
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Degree in Child Life or related field
Child Life Specialist Certification (CCLS) or eligible to attain certification in 6 months
Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team
Proficient problem‑solving and organizational abilities
