Key Job Responsibilities
Work safely and be an advocate for safety.
Visual inspection of manufactured parts and raw materials per drawing requirements.
Hardness testing of raw materials and manufactured parts using the Brinell and Rockwell hardness testing methods.
Prioritize raw materials and parts for the various inspection processes.
Set‑up all types of gauges for use in the inspection processes.
Knowledge of visual inspection processes and procedures.
Knowledge of surface conditions of materials & machined surfaces.
In‑process and final inspection of assembled equipment such as Feeder Breakers, Wheeled Loaders, Sizers, Drills, etc. per the requirements of applicable drawings, specifications, procedures & work instructions.
Qualifications/Requirements
Must have completed required training in the areas selected for specialization such as Assembled Equipment, CMM, Faro Laser Tracker, Faro Arm, Gear Check, Metals & Physical Testing Lab, or Gage Lab.
Must have completed academic requirements for American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) Recommended Practice SNT‑TC‑1A.
Qualified to use both Brinell and Rockwell hardness testing machines.
Minimum of two years Machinist, Inspection or Dimensional inspection experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals.
Self‑starter, able to prioritize & multi‑task with good analytical skills.
Ability to calculate figures & amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference & volume.
Experience with dimensional mechanical measuring tools such as micrometers & calipers.
Ability to understand and interpret drawings and technical requirements.
Knowledge of receiving, in‑process and final inspection processes and procedures.
Must be able to work 2nd Shift.
