Job Brief
Inspect, repair, replace, lubricate and maintain mechanical equipment and facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable Dyno Nobel HSEQ Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations.

This is a temporary position expected to last 6 months
What You'll Do
As a Maintenance Tech, you will inspect, repair, replace, lubricate and maintain mechanical equipment and facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable Dyno Nobel HSEQ Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations. Other duties include:
Receives assignment for work to be performed and discuss any unusual or complex problems with supervisor or other maintenance techs
Assists mechanics on equipment repair, troubleshooting and performance testing
Focuses efforts on preventive, predictive, and proactive maintenance tasks in order to reduce reactive maintenance
Familiarization of chemicals and solvents used or produced in this facility as listed on the Material Safety Data Sheets
Interprets blueprints and sketches and lays out work accordingly
Willingness to work overtime and be on call as required. Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety.
(Ensure SAO, JSA, Take 5's, stretching, and all safety rules are being completed.
Ensure compliance with applicable Company HSE Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations.
Supports BEx initiatives and ensures participation from all areas of responsibility
Requirements
High school graduate or equivalent
5+ years hands-on experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail
Knowledge of maintenance tools and their proper use.
Must be able to successfully obtain a TWIC card.
Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
