
2nd & 3rd Shift Industrial Maintenance Technician

This individual will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance required to maintain our industrial equipment and facility at an optimal level of operation with an emphasis on mechanical power transmission, electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Maintenance experience with industrial controls, 480‑volt 3‑phase electrical feeders, machining, robotics, and CNC is a plus. The role requires work on mechanical and hydraulic presses, furnaces, grinders, steel preparation and coating equipment, gear shapers, robotics, CNC machining centers, laser cutters, dust and fume collection equipment, and HVAC equipment.
Position starts at $28.00 (based on experience).

Responsibilities
Ensure safety standards are maintained while performing duties
Perform corrective maintenance on equipment
Carry out routine checks on production equipment
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment following standards and allotted time for completion
Perform preventive maintenance on facilities to mitigate major damage
Diagnose and repair or replace worn parts in machines and equipment
Maintain correct fluid levels on machines
Replace filters and change oil and grease; complete assigned lubrication routes on equipment
Ensure that facility areas and work environment are free of hazardous objects and substances
Assist external technicians/sub‑contractors during external preventive maintenance
Work with Planner to keep proper records of work activities, including updating PM standard work procedures, PM part lists, and tools
Submit reports on work activities and progress to the supervisor
Work independently or as part of a group to preventive maintain, troubleshoot, and repair existing equipment and facility systems
Identify root cause of equipment failures and suggest preventive actions
Follow written instructions to perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities
Work with engineering to upgrade existing equipment for enhanced safety, functionality, and/or reliability
Identify and order machine components and materials required to complete any given job
Accurately estimate time required to complete any given job
Interface with our computerized maintenance management system to retrieve work orders, preventive maintenance activities, issue parts, and record closing information
Work flexible hours, be willing to stay over to complete critical tasks, and work weekend hours when needed
Willing and able to travel occasionally as required (not typically part of job function, for training purposes)
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with strong knowledge of mechanical power transmission, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding/fabrication, pipe fitting, and construction trades
Strong communication skills, analytical abilities, and ability to multitask
