R&D Engineering Technician I
to join our engineering team and play a key role in bringing innovative medical devices to life. In this role, you\'ll work side-by-side with R&D engineers on new product and process development — operating specialized equipment, running qualification activities, and helping solve complex manufacturing challenges for our customers. If you take pride in quality work, can juggle multiple projects with confidence, and want to contribute to products that genuinely improve patient outcomes, this role is for you.
Responsibilities
Operate and maintain specialty equipment including laser cutting systems, coating application tools, and electroplating equipment
Program and refine laser patterns to meet precise customer tolerances
Apply coatings to medical device components and prepare samples for engineering and sales efforts
Support process qualification runs (OQ & PQ) and help develop inspection procedures with Quality personnel
Assist engineers in designing production tooling and resolving technical challenges
Prioritize and manage multiple projects, keeping stakeholders informed of status and timelines
Maintain clean, organized work areas in compliance with safety and quality standards
Collaborate across Engineering and Quality teams to support on-time, high-quality delivery
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; two-year technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience preferred
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with high attention to detail
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, team-first mindset
Comfortable managing competing priorities in a dynamic environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to write clear documentation and communicate effectively
Self-motivated, professional, and committed to quality at every step
Work Environment
You\'ll work across general office space, inspection laboratories, and electroplating process areas. All environments meet applicable OSHA ventilation and safety standards.
