Overview
Think Big Program (Caterpillar Dealer Service Technology Program) is a paid internship that allows students to receive an Associate in Applied Sciences while learning a skilled trade in a high-demand industry. Students also qualify for a tuition reimbursement program.

Basic Duties
The Caterpillar Dealer Service Technology Program is a great opportunity for anyone interested in learning a skilled trade in a high-demand industry. Students will go through a two-year curriculum, rotationally attending Illinois Central College in East Peoria for eight weeks and then an Altorfer branch for an eight‑week internship. The rotation continues throughout the program duration. Courses include Fundamentals of Hydraulics, Caterpillar Engine Fuel Systems, Fundamentals of Electrical Systems, Diagnostic Testing, and Undercarriage/Final Drives.

Compensation & What We Can Offer You:

Payrate: $18.50 per hour

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
This position works in a warehouse/shop environment. Employees may continuously walk, climb on and off equipment, bend and lift up to 75‑100lbs. Employees must wear appropriate safety equipment such as safety glasses or side shields when needed. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to high. Employees may intermittently sit at a desk to answer telephone calls and use a keyboard or email. Flexibility to work varying schedules and hours is required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
