Overview
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Registered Nurse (RN). Full Time (36 hrs/per week). Day Shift 7:00 AM-7:30 PM, Night Shift 7:00 PM-7:30 AM.

About The Department
Mercy Behavioral Health Services provides a structured and therapeutic environment to individuals suffering from psychiatric illness, behavioral disorders and chemical dependency. Here at Mercy our dedicated multi-disciplinary team promotes a structured therapeutic program to help those in crisis through evaluation, education, medication therapy, individual and group therapy and relapse prevention. Mercy Behavioral Health offers inpatient and outpatient options for all ages.
Upcoming Expansion: Construction has begun to add an additional Behavioral Health unit on site at Mercy South.
Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
Licensure:
Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current Missouri RN license and/or compact licensure and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
Physical requirements/demands: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis, prolonged standing and walking each shift, and the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
